We recently completed a beautiful Indian sandstone patio and pathway installation in Churchcroft, Highfield Park, St Albans, creating an attractive and practical outdoor space around the rear of this family home. The new natural stone paving wraps around the conservatory, extends across the garden patio and continues along the narrow side passage, giving the different areas a consistent, coordinated finish.

The Indian sandstone features a lovely blend of buff, sandy beige, soft grey and subtle pink and brown shades. Each slab has its own distinctive natural markings, and the mixed-size laying pattern brings plenty of character to the finished patio. The warm tones complement the property’s brickwork and white conservatory beautifully.

Careful detailing around the conservatory, garden edges and side access has created a neat, welcoming space that is well suited to outdoor seating, entertaining and everyday use. The completed pathway also provides a smart, practical route alongside the house.
