We recently completed a smart new charcoal block paved driveway in Sandridge, St Albans, creating an attractive, practical entrance that complements this traditional brick property. The generous driveway has been finished in rich charcoal paving blocks laid in a classic herringbone pattern, with contrasting light grey borders defining the edges and giving the whole installation a crisp, professional appearance.
The paving extends neatly around the front and side of the house, providing a consistent surface with plenty of space for parking and everyday access. The lighter edging blocks follow the shape of the driveway and create a particularly attractive contrast with the darker main paving, while the carefully finished edges bring everything together.
As part of the project, we also created a matching block paved side pathway leading towards the rear garden, using the same charcoal herringbone pattern and contrasting borders. A new timber gate and adjoining fencing complete the side entrance, providing a tidy, secure and practical finish. Together, these improvements have transformed the outside of the property and added lasting kerb appeal.
